Kin terms of sale

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms govern the use of Kin, a desktop application in which a person gives tasks to several coding agents in one conversation (hereinafter "Kin"), the licence under which Kin is used, and the purchase and use of its paid plans. In this document, "Qder" means the operator of Kin and the seller of its plans, as identified in section 1; the "User" means any person who uses Kin; the "Buyer" means a User who purchases a plan; a "Plan" means any of the plans described in section 2; and an "Agent" means a third-party coding program that the User has installed and signed in to on the User's own computer (such as Claude Code or Codex). A User accepts these terms on opening a Kin account, and a Buyer accepts them again on purchasing a Plan.

This document is written in English, the language in which Kin is sold. Kin is in testing: until Qder opens the sale of Plans in Kin itself, every feature is available without charge and no Plan can be purchased.

1. The seller

Kin is operated, and its Plans are sold, by Itay Funes, an exempt dealer (עוסק פטור) in Israel trading as "Qder" (Karmiel, Israel). Qder may be contacted at hello@qder.ai, by WhatsApp message to +972 55-241-5750 (messages only; Qder does not take telephone calls), or through the chat on qder.ai. Further legal details appear on Qder's contact page.

2. The Plans

The features of each Plan are those of Kin at the time of use. Qder may improve or change Kin's features; it shall not remove a feature from a Plan for the remainder of a period that has been paid for.

3. Prices and payment

Pro costs US$15 a month; Team costs US$20 a month for each seat, the Buyer's own seat included. For a Buyer in Israel the prices are stated and charged in Israeli new shekels: ₪49 a month for Pro and ₪65 a month for each Team seat. The currency of a Plan is determined by the country from which the Buyer connects to Kin at the first purchase of the Plan, as identified from the connection, and the Plan's renewals and changes are charged in the same currency. The price and its currency are shown in Kin before the purchase and stated on the receipt. Where a card is charged in a currency other than its own, its issuer may convert the charge at the issuer's rate and subject to the issuer's fees, which are not within Qder's control.

Payment is by credit or debit card only. Card details are entered in Kin and are sent directly to SUMIT, Qder's payment and invoicing provider, which stores them and through which UPay clears the charges; the card details never reach Qder, which keeps only the card's last four digits and expiry date. SUMIT issues a receipt for each charge, and Kin sends it to the Buyer by email.

A Kin account may be opened by a person aged 13 or older. A Buyer under the age of 18 who purchases a Plan confirms, by doing so, that a parent or guardian consents to the purchase. Where a parent or guardian notifies Qder that a Plan was purchased by a minor without such consent, Qder shall cancel the Plan and refund the charges for it, to the extent required by law.

4. Monthly renewal

A Plan is charged one month in advance, starting on the day of purchase, and renews automatically on the same date of each following month (or on the last day of a month that has no such date), until it is cancelled. By purchasing a Plan, the Buyer authorizes Qder to charge the card for each renewal and for each change that the Buyer makes.

If a renewal charge is refused, Kin continues to work on the Plan while Qder tries the card again two, four and seven days after the renewal date and informs the Buyer by email. If the charge is still refused after the last attempt, the Plan ends and the account continues on Free. A Buyer may replace the card in Kin at any time, and a refused charge is then made on the new card at once.

5. Changing a Plan

A larger Plan, such as additional seats or a move from Pro to Team, applies at once, and the difference in price for the remainder of the current paid month is charged at once, in proportion to the time remaining. A smaller Plan, such as fewer seats or a move from Team to Pro, applies from the next renewal, and no amount is returned for the remainder of the current month. The number of seats may not be lower than the number of people on the team.

6. Cancellation and refunds

The Buyer may cancel a Plan at any time in Kin (Settings, Plan & billing). The Plan then continues until the end of the month already paid for, ends on that date, and the account continues on Free; no further charge is made. Before that date, the Buyer may withdraw the cancellation.

A consumer within the meaning of the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, may cancel the purchase within fourteen days of the first payment for a Plan, in Kin or by notice to Qder at the addresses in section 1. The Plan then ends at once, and Qder returns the amounts paid for the Plan to the card that was charged within fourteen days of the notice, without a cancellation fee. Except as stated in this section or as required by law, a month that has started is not refunded. An amount charged in error is returned in full.

7. Teams

The Buyer of a Team Plan (the "Team Owner") is the only person responsible for its payment, and alone may invite and remove people, change the number of seats and cancel the Plan. An invited person holds a seat from the moment of the invitation and joins the team by accepting it in Kin, signed in with the invited email address. Instructions that a member saves for a project are shared with every member of the team. When the Team Plan ends, its members continue on Free, and the shared instructions remain stored for the team for a reasonable time in case the Plan is renewed.

8. The Agents and their own services

Kin runs Agents that the User has installed and signed in to on the User's own computer, under the User's own accounts and subscriptions with the companies that provide them (such as Anthropic for Claude Code or OpenAI for Codex). A Plan covers Kin only. The Agents' own subscriptions, usage limits, prices and terms are those of their providers, including any minimum age that a provider sets, are separate from these terms, and remain the User's responsibility; Kin does not purchase or resell any Agent's service. An Agent's provider may refuse a request under its own policies, and Kin may show that refusal and offer the request to another Agent.

Agents make changes to the User's code, in a separate copy of the project for each conversation, and run commands on the User's computer to the extent the User allows. The User is responsible for reviewing what an Agent has done before merging it into the project and for the permissions the User grants to an Agent. The output of an Agent may be incorrect, and neither Kin nor Qder guarantees it.

9. Licence and protection of Kin

Kin, including its software in source code and in object code, its design, its text and its documentation, is the property of Qder and is protected by copyright and as a trade secret. Qder grants each User a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install Kin on computers that the User owns or controls and to use it for the purpose for which it is provided, subject to these terms and, where the User holds a Plan, to the features of that Plan. No right in Kin is granted other than as expressly stated in this section.

Except to the extent that the law expressly permits it notwithstanding a contractual restriction, the User shall not, and shall not permit or assist any other person to:

  1. copy Kin or any part of it, other than by installing it and by the updates that Kin itself installs;
  2. decompile, disassemble, decrypt, deobfuscate or otherwise reverse engineer Kin, or attempt to derive its source code, its structure or its algorithms;
  3. remove, circumvent or defeat any measure that protects Kin, or any notice of Qder's ownership in it;
  4. modify or translate Kin, or create a derivative work from it; or
  5. sell, rent, lend, sublicense, publish, distribute or otherwise make Kin, or any part of it, available to any other person.

The Agents, the User's own code and projects, and the output that an Agent produces for the User are not part of Kin, and nothing in this section restricts the User's rights in them. Third-party components included in Kin are subject to their own licences, which prevail to the extent of those components.

Where a User breaches this section, Qder may terminate the User's licence and close the User's Kin account, in addition to any other remedy available to Qder under law.

10. Liability

Kin is provided as it is, while it is in testing and thereafter, subject to the obligations that the law imposes and that cannot be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Qder shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of data, code or profit, and Qder's total liability in connection with a Plan is limited to the amounts paid for that Plan in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. General

Qder may amend these terms by notice to the Buyer by email at least thirty days before the amendment applies to a Plan already purchased; a Buyer who does not accept an amendment may cancel the Plan under section 6. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without derogating from mandatory protections that the law of a consumer's place of residence confers on the consumer. The personal information that Kin and its purchase involve is handled under Qder's privacy policy.
